TutorKhoji is a two-sided marketplace. Parents post what their child needs and search for tutors who teach it, nearby, at a budget they can live with. Tutors set up their profile once and search a live board of student requirements. Both sides pay only when they reveal a contact they actually want to reach.

The tagline is the whole product in one line: find the right tutor, find the right student. Everything in the interface follows from taking both sides seriously — privacy for families, qualified leads for teachers, and an admin layer that keeps the marketplace clean.

Tutor recommendations are hearsay

Most families find a tutor through a relative, a society group or a notice board. Nobody can tell you whether the tutor actually teaches Class 10 ICSE Science, or whether the fee quoted last year still holds.

Tutors hunt for students inefficiently

A good tutor often spends more time on referrals than on teaching. There is no single place to post availability and see which families in the same locality actually need their subject.

Contact details are scraped and sold

On marketplaces that publish phone numbers, bulk scrapers collect every listing. Parents get spam calls. Tutors get calls from students outside their area.

Nobody is accountable

When a listing is wrong or someone behaves badly, there is no moderation layer. Trust is entirely on word of mouth.

What we believe

Four product principles we will not trade away

Contact details are never public

Phone, email and address exist behind a paid unlock. Public listings carry only what is needed to judge fit: locality, class, board, subject, mode, timing, experience and fee.

Credits, not subscriptions

Tuition demand is seasonal. Paying per unlock means a busy term costs more and a quiet one costs less, without cancelling anything.

Matching you can explain

Six weighted signals, shown on every card. If a match is 62%, you can see exactly which signal did not hit and whether it matters for your situation.

Moderation is a feature

Verification, visibility control, complaint handling and an audit trail are part of the product, not an afterthought.

Honesty

What this build is, and what it is not

A marketplace lives or dies on trust, so it is worth being precise about the current state of this project rather than dressing up placeholder data as traction.

  • We do not publish user counts, ratings or success statistics, because none are verified yet.
  • No media endorsements, awards or partner logos are claimed.
  • Tutor profiles, student requirements and payments in this build are fabricated demo data.
  • Only our own contact details are real. Tutor and parent listings are not real people.
  • Payment processing is not connected. The Razorpay architecture exists; the gateway does not.

Not an agency

TutorKhoji does not employ tutors, deliver lessons or take a cut of tuition fees. The arrangement is directly between the two sides.

Not a guarantee

Verification checks submitted documents. It is not a background check, and matching scores are signals rather than promises.

Not a substitute for judgement

A 95% match still needs a conversation. We give you the information to decide, not the decision itself.
